2021 League Rule Changes

2021 RULE CHANGES

- INDIVIDUAL SCORING -
We will move to a Stableford format for individual scoring. Points are still adjusted accordingly for gross and net and this should help curb the large individual point swings for people not showing up or getting a sub and help promote better play. In the event your opponent does not show up or get a sub, your score will go against the league wide average for that particular week. The higher handicap will still play the higher handicap of the opposing team and the low will play the low as usual.

Stableford scoring system is as follows:

  • ALBATROSS - 5 points

  • EAGLE - 4 points

  • BIRDIE - 3 points

  • PAR - 2 points

  • BOGEY - 1 point

  • DOUBLE BOGEY + - 0 points

- TEAM SCORING -
Team match points will be the same as in previous seasons.

- HANDICAPPED TEE'S -
New for this year, you will play the tee box in accordance with your weekly adjusted handicap. The idea behind this is to make each match more competitive and give people a better scoring opportunity each week. I will update your specific tee box weekly on the website so you know which to play.

  • BLACK TEE'S - Handicap of +3 or better

  • GOLD TEE'S - Handicap of +4 to +9

  • BLUE TEE'S - Handicap of +10

  • SENIOR TEE'S - Seniors can play senior tees at all times or choose to play their handicap specific tee box of that week.
